Traditional cider making
Egi-Luze cider is produced using traditional methods with apples grown in our own nine hectares of orchards. Thanks to a careful selection of local apple varieties and expertise passed down through generations, our cider preserves the natural character that is so distinctive of the Basque Country.
Egi-Luze is part of the Euskal Sagardoa and Gorenak quality labels, certifications that guarantee excellence. In addition, we produce a third cider — Traditional Cider — crafted using artisanal methods that honour classic Basque cider making while maintaining the same high standards of quality.
During txotx season, from January to May, visitors can taste cider directly from the kupelak (barrels), accompanied by the traditional cider house menu. Outside this season, our cider is available by the bottle, preserving all its flavour and qualities.
We also offer direct sales at our premises throughout the year, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
